Neurodiversity & Exploitation: Identifying the Missing Pieces

Many neurodivergent children and young people don't present risk in the way professionals expect.

As a result, vulnerability is often misunderstood, minimised, or missed entirely - leaving some of the most at-risk young people without the protection they need and deserve.

Developed from frontline safeguarding experience working with complex vulnerability and exploitation, this session challenges common safeguarding assumptions and equips professionals to recognise how neurodivergence can mask or distort signs of exploitation.
